ABOUT Tawaka Hospital
Tawakal Hospital is a Private Zonal Medical Facility owned by the Afuwan Company Limited. The Hospital which operates under the guidance of the Ministry of Health of Zanzibar. is located at Fuoni Kiembeni in the West “B” District of Zanzibar.
It is approximately seven (7) Kilometres from city center along Fuoni Road. The Hospitals’ inpatient bed capacity is 55, spanning a wide range of medical and surgical specialties and employs about 107 staff.
It was officially opened on 4 June 2018 and for the period of one year after its opening the number of out-patients grew from 550 to 2,849 and from 5 to 308 for in-patients per month.
